We’re excited to announce that we now accept Halfords Cycle2Work vouchers, making it easier than ever to get your dream bike through the Cycle to Work scheme. Cycle2Work is one of the UK’s most widely used schemes, adopted by a huge range of employers, from the NHS, local councils, and corporate giants like Tesco, BT, Rolls-Royce, and BA Systems. If your employer is signed up, you can now use your voucher with us!
Cycle to Work schemes are fantastic for making bikes more affordable, but they come with varying admin fees that retailers must cover. Unlike other schemes, Halfords Cycle2Work carries a significantly higher cost, which is why we apply a 5% fee on bikes sold at full RRP and a 15% fee on bikes purchased on offer or sale pricing.
To make this clearer, here’s a breakdown of the fees applied to bikes at RRP and bikes on sale through different Cycle to Work schemes:
Cycle to Work Scheme | Fee on Bikes at RRP | Fee on DISCOUNTED LINES |
---|---|---|
Bike2Work | 0% | 10% |
Cyclescheme | 0% | 10% |
CycleSolutions | 0% | 10% |
Green Commute Initiative (GCI) | 0% | 5% |
Vivup | 0% | 10% |
Cycle2Work (Halfords) | 5% | 15% |
Cycle to Work remains one of the most cost-effective ways to buy a new bike, allowing you to spread the cost and benefit from tax savings. If your employer offers Cycle2Work, it’s still an excellent way to upgrade to a high-performance bike at a reduced cost—even with the fees factored in.
